♻️【From the Recycling Frontline to the Design World|TYC Shares Circular Insights at Taiwan Design Research Institute】
We were honored to be invited by the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI) to deliver a keynote presentation,
joining fellow innovators in product design, brand strategy, and materials R&D
to explore how sustainable materials can move from recycling, into design, and back to the market.
🔍 Starting with the “Cradle to Cradle” concept, we shared:
- Practical challenges and solutions in achieving mono-materiality
- How modular and easily disassembled designs improve recyclability
- Ways recycled plastics are entering the realms of aesthetics and branding to create desirable sustainability
🌿 TYC also showcased several circular product cases, including:
- A tool kit made from marine waste
- An inner-loop reusable bag co-developed with Homemakers’ Union
- Our most recent circular economy proposal in development
🧠 What we believe:
Circular economy cannot rely solely on recyclers working in isolation.
True design power comes from partners willing to engage with the material realities — to collaborate, adapt, and improve.
📢 We welcome more designers and brand leaders to join us.
Let’s make “design for recyclability” a vision we can truly realize.
