TYC Environmental Technology Collaborates with an International Brand to Develop Premium Artificial Florals Using PCR Modification Technology
Sustainable Artificial Florals – PCR Modification Technology
As brands increasingly seek to combine aesthetics with sustainability, material selection has become a critical element in product design.
In this project, TYC Environmental Technology collaborated with internatinal brand partners to introduce Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastics into the development of premium artificial floral products, supporting the goals of UN SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
Traditionally, high-end artificial florals rely on virgin plastics to achieve the softness, fine texture, and visual quality required for delicate petals. Through advanced material modification and formulation engineering, TYC successfully increased the proportion of PCR content while maintaining the softness, detail, and processing stability required for these products.
This approach not only reduces the environmental footprint of the material but also demonstrates the potential of recycled plastics in high-aesthetic, design-driven consumer products.
The project highlights how circular materials can move beyond industrial applications and enter the premium design and lifestyle product market, enabling brands to create new sustainability narratives and market differentiation.
Highlights
